Granite
This stone typically exhibits small flecks or grains of minerals that are uniformly distributed throughout. Some “exotic granites” will have veining patterns that look like marble. Granite is one of the hardest natural stone materials on earth, and therefore very durable. Its durability makes it a great material for kitchens, outside areas, and bathrooms. Granite is resistant to heat which makes it ideal around cooking areas.
